How to Make Flower Freshies

Start by gathering all the items that you will need. The process will go much more smoothly if everything is readily accessible.

Here's What You'll Need:

Aroma Beads

Scalloped Edge Cookie Cutter

Fragrance Oil

Liquid Dye

Digital Scale

Power Drill & Drill Bit

Parchment Paper (not wax paper!)

Plastic Containers

This project is easy, fun, and can be adapted easily to different seasons by simply using different colors!

Step 1

Follow this link to prepare your aroma beads for your adorable flower freshies.

Step 2

After you've prepped your aroma beads and they have cured, you are ready to start baking! Grab your cookie cutters and first color you want to use. You'll want to bake the center part only enough for them to hold their shape but not completely done because you will be baking this part twice! With that said, preheat your oven to 350° & bake for 5-6 minutes.

Step 3

Once you have baked the center and let it cool, remove it from the mold and place it in your flower cookie cutter. Grab your second color of aroma beads, hold the middle with one hand to ensure it doesn't shift, and fill cookie cutter! Once that is complete, bake one last time at 350° for 5-8 minutes. Check, then bake in 1-2 minute increments until aroma beads no longer stick to your finger.

That's it!

Allow them to completely cool and then you're ready to package them or hang them somewhere to add your favorite scent to your car, office, room, etc.

Note: Be sure to allow the aroma beads about 8-10 days to cure before baking them. Baking them too early can make the scent throw very weak.
