Learn About Paraffin Wax for Candle Making

IGI 1230 Base Paraffin Wax

This wax is a fully refined paraffin wax used for containers.  Because it is a harder wax, for best results it will require topping off to achieve a smooth top.  Will need additives such as Vybar 260 for best results.

  • Fragrance oil retention of 3 - 4% is typical.  Higher fragrance loads may be achievable with the use of additives.
  • Average pour temperature between 175° - 185°F.
  • Good scent throw.
  • Good burn characteristics.
